About the RoleThis exciting opportunity exists for an accomplished executive to lead our rail engineering team, overseeing all aspects of strategy, design, construction, and maintenance. You will be responsible for developing and delivering safe, reliable, and commercially competitive fleet maintenance services, including cleanliness and operational readiness.
As a seasoned leader with strong insight and experience in engineering and/or maintenance fields, you will bring demonstrated leadership in senior leadership roles, preferably with a rail or engineering background. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and executive leaders will be essential in driving success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the rail engineering team.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive fleet maintenance services, ensuring safety and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improvement.
- Lead and manage commercial contracts and supply chain services, focusing on performance and planning.
- Ensure technical assurance services are provided to ensure safety and integrity.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrated experience in leading high-performing teams and driving business outcomes.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts.
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to challenge and influence when necessary.
- Proven track record of developing and delivering engineering and maintenance frameworks and systems.
- Deep understanding of customer-centric safety ethos.
