Community Youth Advocate

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to provide early intervention support to children and young people experiencing anxiety, depression or behavioural issues.
About the RoleThis is a child-centred approach to help children recognise and manage strong feelings and emotions, build resilience to overcome life's difficulties, and strengthen the parent-child relationship through individual sessions, workshops, groups and community awareness sessions.
Key Skills and Qualifications- Degree qualified in social work, human services, psychology or similar fields.
- At least 12 months experience in the Community Services Sector in Early Intervention, Child Protection or Mental Health.
- Experience of undertaking comprehensive assessments with families and risk assessment/safety planning.
- A clear understanding of child protection issues and mandatory reporting responsibilities.
- Delivery of parenting support and/or parenting group facilitation is desirable.
- High level written and verbal communication - it's essential to document our work.
