Terminal Operator

  • About the Role:

    This is a casual position with the opportunity to go permanent in the future.

    • Loading fuel into tanker trucks safely and efficiently.
    • Helping unload fuel from ships as they come into the terminal.
    • Monitoring and operating terminal equipment.
    • Performing routine checks and maintenance on terminal facilities and gear.
    • Following all safety and environmental rules.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    You'll play a vital role in managing all aspects of terminal operations, including shipping, product transfers, tank gauging, stock control, and truck loading operations.

    Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring smooth and efficient workflows, operating control systems, and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

  • Requirements:

    • A trade qualification in a Mechanical / Technical field (highly desirable).
    • Training and experience in truck and ship loading, as well as wharf duties (bonus but not required).
    • Experience in chemical handling facility operations (desirable).
    • Understanding of handling Dangerous Goods and Hazardous chemicals.
    • Computer literacy.
    • Physically fit and ready for a hands-on job.
    • Valid forklift license or willingness to obtain.
    • Confined space training certification or willingness to obtain.
    • Willingness to complete a police check and drug and alcohol test.
