As a key member of our operations team, this Council Operations Officer role plays a vital part in ensuring the maintenance and construction of parks, gardens, and council facilities. This exciting opportunity involves various tasks to keep our public spaces clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and construction at parks, gardens, and council facilities
  • Assisting in minor civil works projects
  • Ensuring the effective delivery of waste management services
Specific Tasks
  1. Grounds maintenance and upkeep
  2. Carrying out whipper snipping and mowing operations as required
  3. Removal and disposal of debris and litter from parks and gardens
  4. Assistance with waste collection, disposal, and maintenance at the community landfill site
  5. Maintaining equipment and plant in a safe, clean, and serviceable condition
  6. Ensuring a safe working environment by adhering to relevant WHS regulations
Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification or relevant experience in parks and gardens (desirable)
  • Relevant plant competencies (desirable)
  • White Card certification (desirable)
  • Criminal History Check (issued within the last 3 months)
  • Current Working with Children's Clearance (Ochre Card)
  • A valid driver's license
