About the Role:

This position within our Asphalt business will see you taking on key responsibilities in the laboratory, working with a range of materials and testing equipment. Your key focus will be on sampling and testing, ensuring that our products meet the required standards. You will be working as part of a team, with a focus on quality and safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducting physical testing in accordance with laboratory work instructions and test methods
  • Field sampling and testing on project sites
  • Calibration of laboratory equipment
  • Maintaining a safe working environment
  • Contributing to the maintenance of the laboratory in accordance with NATA accreditation requirements

Requirements:
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and overtime
  • A strong analytical mindset and commitment to safety and quality
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Prior experience in a construction materials laboratory environment is an advantage
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in science or a related field are desirable
  • Understanding of computer systems for data monitoring and reporting
  • Awareness of Australian and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
