Laboratory Researcher

This position within our Asphalt business will see you taking on key responsibilities in the laboratory, working with a range of materials and testing equipment. Your key focus will be on sampling and testing, ensuring that our products meet the required standards. You will be working as part of a team, with a focus on quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting physical testing in accordance with laboratory work instructions and test methods
- Field sampling and testing on project sites
- Calibration of laboratory equipment
- Maintaining a safe working environment
- Contributing to the maintenance of the laboratory in accordance with NATA accreditation requirements
Requirements:
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and overtime
- A strong analytical mindset and commitment to safety and quality
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently
- Prior experience in a construction materials laboratory environment is an advantage
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in science or a related field are desirable
- Understanding of computer systems for data monitoring and reporting
- Awareness of Australian and industry standards
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
