Eligibility

As a petroleum engineering graduate, you will be eligible for both subsurface engineering and drilling & completions engineering streams.

Subsurface Engineering

  • Characterise the recovery of hydrocarbons from the reservoir and optimise this process.
  • Involved in most stages of the asset lifecycle: exploration, appraisal, development, and production.
  • Day-to-day tasks include analysing reservoir and production data, creating and updating analytical and reservoir simulation computer models, and forecasting future production and reserves.

Drilling & Completions Engineering

  • Responsible for working with area asset teams and preparing well designs, cost estimates, and detailed operational guidelines for new and existing wellbores to meet project objectives.
  • Support incident response, project management, field supervision, and cost/invoice review.
