Job Title: Construction Delay Expert

We are seeking a skilled Construction Delay Expert to join our team at Maxim Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our specialist delay division, you will work with our international quantum team to identify the best approach to individual arbitration matters.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct forensic investigations of project delays to provide expert analysis and testimony.
  • Prepare prospective and retrospective delay analyses for a wide range of construction and engineering projects.
  • Develop written reports for use in negotiation and formal dispute resolution processes.
  • Assist in the preparation and defence of extension of time claims on behalf of employers, main contractors, and sub-contractors.
  • Work independently or with client teams to carry out 'live' planning assistance.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2+ years of good engineering or planning experience.
  • A strong working knowledge of various standard forms of contract, including NEC and JCT & FIDIC.
  • A demonstrable understanding of contract and law within the construction industry, with a particular understanding of matters relating to planning and delay.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • The ability to work and organise multiple commissions.
