Local History Information Services Specialist

As a Librarian Local History, you will be working closely with the Learning and Information Services Team to deliver learning and information services in line with the Library Services Strategic Plan.
Key responsibilities include providing expert local history guidance to staff and customers, advising on the inclusion of heritage items in the collection and their digitization, developing systems for recording and reporting data, promoting Local History services, and building effective partnerships.
Additionally, this role involves planning and delivering socially inclusive local history learning services for the community.
Required Skills and Qualifications- High-level customer service experience
- Sound experience in development and maintenance of relationships
- Project administration skills, including budget management and administering grants
A degree or postgraduate qualification in library and information science, or equivalent qualifications recognized by the Australian Library and Information Association for Associate membership, with at least five years' experience, preferably in the development and maintenance of a local history collection, is desirable.
