Careerlink People Solutions is seeking an experienced Financial Services Director and Team Manager to join our team. This mid-senior level position requires 3+ years of experience managing successful client relationships, as well as experience managing a team. You should have a strong understanding of financial markets, including different asset types/classes, trading processes, systems, and be proficient in using software such as Excel, MYOB.

About the Role

In this position, you will play a critical role in managing client relationships, overseeing the day-to-day administration of managed funds, and leading a team of fund accountants and administrators. You will also be responsible for fostering a high-performance culture by setting clear goals, providing feedback, supporting professional development, promoting continuous learning and best practices within the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Build and manage high-level relationships with internal and external stakeholders, manage client relationships to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction, produce accurate reports, and maintain CRM records.
  • Operation: Oversee the day-to-day administration of managed funds, ensuring smooth operations and timely reporting, ensure all fund-related transactions are accurately processed, review processes to ensure ongoing process improvement.
  • Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Fund Accountants and Administrators, foster a high-performance culture by setting clear goals, providing feedback, supporting professional development, promote continuous learning and best practices within the team.

Requirements

  • 3+ years demonstrated experience managing successful client relationships.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Previous experience in funds management, asset management, or a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a similar discipline.
  • Broad understanding of financial markets, including different asset types/classes, trading processes, systems.
  • Proficiency using the following software: Excel, MYOB.
