About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our production staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our food products.

Your primary focus will be on conducting test sampling and laboratory submissions, as well as assisting production staff with quality-related queries. You will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring daily Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and performing monthly GMP audits and updating non-conformance registers.

In addition, you will investigate customer complaints and compile technical responses, maintain document control, and ensure the availability of production forms. You will also monitor verification records and perform daily internal calibrations, update and manage training records, and conduct staff training and inductions.

You will be an integral part of our team, dedicated to crafting high-quality, ready-made wraps and sandwiches. This is a full-time position that offers a stable and friendly work environment, with opportunities for training and development.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct test sampling and handle laboratory submissions.
  2. Assist production staff with quality-related queries.
  3. Monitor and ensure daily Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  4. Perform monthly GMP audits and update non-conformance registers.
  5. Investigate customer complaints and compile technical responses.
  6. Maintain document control and ensure availability of production forms.
  7. Monitor verification records and perform daily internal calibrations.
  8. Update and manage training records; conduct staff training and inductions.
  9. Perform quality checks on production lines and conduct monthly audits.
  10. Assist with site audits and follow up on non-conformances.
  11. Stop production if product safety or quality is at risk.
  12. Promote continuous improvement in quality assurance processes.
Requirements
  • A qualification in Food Technology or Science, or extensive experience in a high-care facility.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and continuous improvement methods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to quickly adapt to internal systems and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
