Job Title: Scrub Nurse - Perioperative Experience Required

A Scrub Nurse with experience in perioperative nursing is required to join our team at Campbelltown Private Hospital. This is a full-time role that involves providing high-quality patient care in an operating theatre environment.

About the Role

This Scrub Nurse position requires a highly motivated and experienced individual who can work effectively as part of a team. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to work independently and within a team, and have a commitment to quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation and best practice
  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective patient care
  • Ensure patient and staff safety by following established protocols and procedures
  • Supervise and direct nursing team members, including enrolled nurses (ENs) and assistant in nursing (AINs)
Requirements
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • 18 months' minimum experience as a Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout
  • Proven experience in orthopaedic perioperative lists
  • Valid NSW Working with Children check for employment
  • Commitment to quality patient care
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
