We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ecologist to join our Sydney-based team in NSW. As a key member of our environmental consultancy, you will be responsible for leading impact assessment and monitoring surveys, delivering high-quality reporting, and providing technical support to the team.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct environmental surveys and impact assessments of terrestrial ecosystems, including flora and fauna, biodiversity, and habitat.
- Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and develop solutions to complex environmental issues.
- Produce high-quality technical reports and provide technical review and support to the team.
- Provide mentoring and assistance to junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in environmental consultancy or the public sector, including ecological/environmental surveys and report production.
- Advanced plant community identification skills and experience using ArcGIS, ESRI, and ePrimer.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally and a driver's license is essential.
