Role Overview

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Industrial Maintenance Technician plays a vital role within the site operations team. This hands-on position involves collaborating with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for the installation and commissioning of our state-of-the-art facility.

Following successful commissioning, this role will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing efficiency and operation of the machinery.

Key Responsibilities

This position entails providing direct support for the maintenance and management of all production assets, overseeing the maintenance budget, coordinating contractors, and executing strategies to enhance the performance of maintenance operations.

The role will focus on continuous improvement initiatives to support operational excellence while maintaining flexibility for overtime during and after the commissioning phase.

You will foster a collaborative relationship between maintenance and production teams, ensuring effective support for Area Managers and their staff in achieving safety, quality, and operational enhancements.

Your main duties will include:

Conducting Root Cause Analysis on critical equipment failures and ensuring implementation of corrective actions Actively participating in the execution of capital projects Demonstrating strong safety leadership by setting a positive example Ensuring that the reliability and maintainability of all equipment meet or exceed target standards Planning and managing maintenance activities in coordination with production to minimize disruptions Investigating safety incidents, environmental issues, and equipment breakdowns Regularly reviewing parts inventory to maintain accurate stock records Continuously assessing critical assets and implementing strategies to mitigate business risks Planning and executing maintenance shutdowns

Required Skills and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

5-10 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with all levels of the organization Proven experience in managing a preventative maintenance program Demonstrated problem-solving skills for emergency repairs

Qualifications

Trade qualification as a fitter (C10 or higher)
