Job Description

The primary purpose of the site Industrial Maintenance Electrician is to provide production support on current plant machinery, including breakdown/troubleshooting, project implementation, and continuous improvement.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Work autonomously and make prioritizing decisions as required.
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting is critical to the role, working on a range of specialized equipment.
  • Have a solid understanding of PLC logic, SCADA, and IO troubleshooting, Siemens.
  • Understand safety control logic, with an understanding of Australian Safety Standards.
  • Be familiar with extruders, automated bulk bagging machines, and optical sorting systems.
  • Maintain electrical controls of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, conveying, and optical sorting systems.
  • Participate in site services, including compressors, chillers, and boilers.

Your Skills and Experience

  • General electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing production lines.
  • Proven and strong knowledge of PLCs, associated software, VSDs, HMI's, etc.
  • Understanding and working with safety systems and standards, Omron, Pilz, etc.
  • A team player with a positive, self-motivated, and proactive attitude.
  • Able to read and understand ELDs and P&IDs.
  • Stock control of relevant electrical spare parts.

Qualifications

  • A Class Electrical license.
