Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our state DOT planning and modal practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in state DOT planning, and a proven track record of creating value for clients by integrating core services with emerging industry trends and business management practices.

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of companywide development, coordination, monitoring, and improvement of technical competencies of state DOT planning and modal staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers
  • Collaborate with Practice Group members to elevate our statewide multimodal planning practice and help state DOT clients set strategic goals and design implementable policies to achieve them
  • Identify market opportunities in close coordination with Area Business Development Leaders and develop winning pursuit strategies
  • Monitor transportation policies at the federal, state, and local levels involving all modes of transportation and help clients develop strategic plans to take advantage of the opportunities by leveraging the HDR talent pool
  • Work with other Practice Leaders to develop transformative ideas that will enable clients to take advantage of emerging transportation trends and future-proof investments; and also allow HDR to maintain thought leadership position in the industry
