Project Accountant Position Overview

A senior finance business partner/project accountant is required to collaborate closely with business unit general managers and project managers to maximise financial returns and minimise financial risks on projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience in project or fabrication/manufacturing based businesses, with exposure to construction or manufacturing processes and an understanding of revenue recognition, cost calculations and key accounting issues and risks in a project-based business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Divisional CFO, business unit general managers and project managers to drive financial performance and mitigate risks on projects.
  • Provide in-depth financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision making on complex engineering projects.
  • Lead systems improvements and influence stakeholders to optimise project efficiency.
Requirements:
  • CA/CAPA/CIMA qualifications highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in project or fabrication/manufacturing based business with exposure to construction or manufacturing processes.
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition, cost calculations and key accounting issues and risks in a project-based business.
  • Ability to articulate financial information effectively to diverse stakeholder groups; experience collaborating with senior executives.
