Child Welfare Professional

We are seeking a skilled Child Welfare Professional to join our team. As a key member of our family-based care team, you will work closely with children, young people, their families and carers to create and implement case plans that strive towards achieving the permanency goals of those we support.

You will build and maintain strong, functional relationships with both the children and their families, ensuring that every voice is heard and every need is met. Your efforts will be pivotal in supporting and monitoring placements, guiding carers in their foster care journey and helping them implement effective strategies that best support the children and young people within their care.

  • A relevant bachelor's degree such as Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology or similar qualification (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants may be eligible with relevant experience)
  • Previous case management experience within an Out of Home Care (OOHC) /Child Protection setting
  • Experience supporting Children & Young People with disability, who have experienced backgrounds of trauma, abuse and/or neglect
  • A working understanding of the NSW Permanency Support Program
  • An understanding of trauma and its effects on children and young people
