About the Role

Reporting to the Head of External Communications & Community Engagement, you will lead a high-performing team of communications professionals responsible for consumer PR and strategic communications. Your key objectives will include developing and executing innovative campaigns that enhance Coles' reputation, managing external PR agencies, and supporting reputation management efforts.

You will also:

  1. Develop and execute impactful consumer PR and strategic communications campaigns that drive business outcomes.
  2. Lead and mentor a team of experienced communications professionals, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  3. Build and maintain strong media relationships, leveraging your established national network to amplify key messages.
  4. Manage external PR agencies to ensure high-quality execution and return on investment.
  5. Support reputation management efforts, working closely with senior leaders to navigate high-profile issues.
  6. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensuring alignment between business objectives and public communication strategies.
  7. Monitor and report on communications outcomes, measuring the effectiveness of campaigns.
About You

We are seeking an exceptional leader with a proven track record in consumer PR and strategic communications. You should have a Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field and 12-15 years of experience in managing large-scale PR campaigns for major consumer brands.
