Position Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Specialist Paediatrician to join a growing and dynamic team in a rural/regional setting. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a busy outpatient clinic with a varied and challenging caseload, as well as contribute to the development of the paediatric service in the region.

About the Role

The Specialist Paediatrician will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to children and adolescents in the region. This will include assessing and managing patients with acute and chronic conditions, as well as providing education and support to families and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical care to children and adolescents in the region
  • Assess and manage patients with acute and chronic conditions
  • Provide education and support to families and other healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to the development of the paediatric service in the region
Requirements

The successful candidate will have a strong interest in service development and a passion for working in a rural/regional setting. They will also have strong clinical skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • FRACP in Paediatrics
  • Eligibility for FRACP as a new fellow
  • Advanced Trainee nearing completion of training
  • SIMG completing/completed Peer review
