Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have a strong background in end to end payroll processes, including complex pay runs, payroll adjustments, and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively process end to end payroll across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly pay runs
  • Facilitate payroll adjustments for salary increments, setting up new hires, calculation and processing of termination payments, and other deductions
  • Assist with month end process and reconciliations, including information for superannuation, payroll tax, and workcover payments
  • Provide timely and accurate payroll advice and support to employees and managers

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of end to end payroll experience
  • Working with pay runs of over 300 employees
  • Experience using larger well-known payroll systems, e.g. SAP, Chris21, ADP, Preceda, PayGlobal, etc.
  • Experience using multiple awards and the ability to interpret EBAs
  • A passion for payroll and a desire to learn and grow your skillset
  • High attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Great communication skills and the ability to form good internal relationships
  • Intermediate Excel skills

About the Company:

  • Located in Altona, with parking onsite
  • 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home
  • Salary depending on experience between $85,000-$90,000 + super
