Job Description:
The purpose of this role is to inspect the construction of roadworks projects to Transport and Main Roads' (DTMR) quality specifications and standards. As a Highway Construction Inspector, you will be responsible for:
- Using comprehensive knowledge of TMR policies, standards, and specifications to ensure compliance;
- Preparing written documents, including daily diaries, submissions/reports, and test results;
- Communicating effectively with contractors and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression;
- Providing effective administration, surveillance, and recording of documentation generated during construction.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5-10 years' experience in road construction, preferably with DTMR or another Australian Road Authority;
- At least 1-2 years of experience as an Asphalt or Civil Inspector;
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Windows operating system, MS Word, MS Excel, and file management;
- A valid driver's license and access to own transport;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.

This role is based in Toowoomba, QLD, with inspections taking place throughout the region. You must have the right to work in Australia and be willing to relocate to the area if necessary.
