About the Role

The Public Transport Authority is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Railway Maintenance Supervisor to lead our construction and maintenance work in relation to signalling plant, installation and equipment on and about the railway track in urban operations.

In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring all work performance and access requirements for internal and external workers fully comply with the PTA's safety standards, operational procedures and corporate policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective supervision strategies to ensure safe and efficient completion of work tasks;
  • Monitor and control work activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations;
  • Provide on-the-job training, instruction and assessment to team members;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes;
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including incident reports and performance metrics.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of railway operations and perway, including Rail Safety and Network rules, Occupational Safety and Health requirements, operational procedures and signal maintenance procedures;
  • Excellent mechanical knowledge and skills in relation to maintenance and repair of relevant equipment and specialised machinery;
  • Well-developed literacy and numeracy skills, including demonstrated proficiency and accuracy in a range of measurement tools;
  • Considerable knowledge of and experience in signal maintenance tasks, related fault finding and repairs;
  • Sound record keeping and report-writing skills.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated annual salary of $95,000 - $110,000, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
