Occupational Therapist Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our team at a leading child development centre in Cairns.

This role suits someone passionate about working with children and families in a collaborative and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing holistic support and promoting continuous learning.

About the Position

The successful candidate will conduct assessments and develop tailored intervention plans for children with sensory, motor, and cognitive needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and create individualised intervention plans.
  • Implement therapy sessions aimed at enhancing daily functioning.
  • Collaborate with families and educators to support generalisation of therapy outcomes.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and case reviews.
  • Document and report in line with professional and NDIS standards.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Full registration with AHPRA.
  • Experience in paediatric therapy (new graduates also encouraged to apply).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong organisational skills and commitment to ethical, client-centred care.
