Quality Control Officer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Officer to join our team. As a Quality Control Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring and assessing Fruit & Veg lines delivered to the distribution centre (DC) to ensure compliance with product quality and labelling specifications set by our quality assurance team and Government Legislation.

This role involves collaborating with our Commercial Buying Team to deliver the best quality offer for store operations and enhance customer experience. You will report to a Senior Quality Control Officer and work alongside the buying teams to deliver safe, quality products in line with our specifications and company KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To monitor and assess Fruit & Veg lines delivered to the DC
  • Validate the compliance with product quality and labelling specifications set by our quality assurance team and Government Legislation
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Buying Team to ensure we are delivering the best quality offer for store operations
  • Reporting to Senior Quality Control Officer and working alongside the buying teams to deliver safe, quality products

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role working in a highly regulated environment
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow processes
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic MS Suite skills or Google skills (Excel, Word)
  • Ability to multitask & prioritise
  • Ability to maintain composure in demanding situations
