Job Title: Fitter / Service Technician

Talent Focus is seeking a skilled Fitter / Service Technician to join our team in Dandenong South. As a key member of our workshop facility, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of work and contributing to the success of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review work orders and blueprints to determine work requirements.
  • Disassemble and assemble components with precision.
  • Inspect and measure components using precision tools and instruments.
  • Clean parts using various methods, including solvents and steam cleaners.
  • Prime or paint parts by hand or with a spray gun.
  • Set up and balance rolls to required tolerances.
  • Make balancing decisions based on experience and available information.
  • Complete inspection forms and reports accurately.
  • Look for improvements in process and implement lean manufacturing principles.

Requirements:

  • Australian Trade Qualifications in a relevant field.
  • Strong background working in heavy industrial environments.
  • Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, sketches, and work orders.
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble rolls, parts, and machine components.
  • Operate small machine tools.
  • Meet production deadlines and work flexible hours.
  • Exhibit high-level safety awareness and respond to emergencies.
