We are seeking a skilled and motivated Demi Cook to join our culinary team at Pier One Sydney Harbour Autograph Collection. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of tasks as requested by management to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Minimize food waste and utilize food surplus control to reduce costs.
  • Maximize personal productivity and efficiency in the kitchen.
  • Store food according to the hotel's 43-point checklist.
  • Prepare and serve food according to the hotel's standards.
  • Produce cooking and presentation of food under supervision.
  • Ensure standard recipes are used and food is presented according to pictures.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of all kitchen equipment, furniture, and utensils.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure sanitation and hygiene standards are met.
  • Ensure the kitchen is always in a safe condition to prevent accidents.
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments.
  • Participate in training and development programs as directed.
  • Display motivation, professionalism, skills, and team spirit in performing duties.
  • Report any accidents, health, and safety hazards to the Chef de Partie.
  • Be aware of hotel fire, safety, and security procedures.
  • Perform shifts and duties in any kitchen or food and beverage-related area as required by management.
