We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our Operations & Maintenance team at the Tindal RAAF Base in NT.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Defence environment, supporting the national security requirements of the Nation.
As a key player in the Defence industry, you will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment.
You will be part of a core crew of UGL technicians, working closely with your team to deliver high-quality outcomes.
The successful applicant will have trade qualified (mechanical) with relevant post-trade experience and proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment
- Diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipment
- Project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment
- Support subcontracted work packages as required
- Trade qualified (mechanical) with relevant post-trade experience
- Proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas
- Confined space and working at heights tickets will be highly regarded
- Safety is at the forefront of everything you do
- Currently hold, or ability to obtain appropriate Defence Security Clearance
- Competitive hourly rates
