Bar Attendant Job Description

This role involves working as a bar attendant in a casual capacity, serving customers and providing exceptional customer service.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Serving drinks and food to patrons in a timely manner.
  • Providing top-notch customer service and resolving complaints professionally.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including the bar area and surrounding spaces.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services to customers.
  • Complying with relevant laws and regulations, including responsible service of alcohol legislation.

To be successful in this role, applicants must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Requirements:
  • Holding a current Senior First Aid Certificate.
  • Completion of a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Willingness and availability to undergo pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening, if required.
  • Broad knowledge of food, wine, beer, and spirit products.
  • Experience in accurately taking food and drink orders.
  • Pleasant and approachable front-of-house meet-and-greet manner with patrons.
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in a food and beverage service.
  • Legal entitlement to live and work in Australia.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Capacity to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
