Job Title: Food Service Specialist

About the Role:
As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a safe and clean environment for our customers.

Responsibilities:
• Provide prompt and courteous member service to customers
• Ensure all food safety procedures are followed at all times
• Prepare and make various types of sushi platters and trays
• Prepare, package, and label meals, entrees, salads, party trays, rotisserie chicken, and ribs
• Assemble take-and-bake pizzas and maintain the highest standard of food safety
• Skewer and cook chickens and ribs in a commercial rotisserie oven
• Package product, weigh ribs, and place them in a heated display case
• Rotate stock and pull chicken/rib boxes
• Use an automated wrapping machine to package, wrap, seal, weigh, and label product
• Stock and rotate the display case
• Follow Costco formulas and diagrams to ensure department consistency and quality standards are met
• Comply with health regulations, including sanitation, temperatures, and pull dates
• Uphold safety and security procedures
• Restock and assemble large boxes of ingredients and supplies in the prep area
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and tools
• Clean equipment by disassembling it, spraying cleaning and sanitizing agents, and wiping bases
• Wash and sanitize parts in a 3-compartment sink
• Count product on hand, determine production needs, and document production on daily forms
• Fill out time and temperature record forms
• Record product to be salvaged, damaged, or destroyed for manager review
• Complete sanitation checklists after final cleanup
• Clean the deli area by sweeping, mopping, spraying, wiping, scrubbing, and low-pressure washing
• Empty drain screens and trash
• Operate the trash compactor and cardboard baler

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
