Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Mental Health Professional to participate in the development of cutting-edge therapies.

This is an opportunity to take part in the INSPIRE Feasibility and Pilot Trial, which investigates the use of Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy (VRET) in combination with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for the treatment of driving anxiety in individuals who have experienced motor vehicle crashes.

About This Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting candidate screening and diagnostic interviews, assisting with integrating VR technology into therapeutic practice, providing in-person and telehealth therapy sessions, and monitoring participant progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Service Delivery: Conducting clinical assessments, developing individualised treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions.
  • Intervention Development and Co-Design: Collaborating with researchers to design and develop VRET scenarios and CBT manuals, ensuring interventions are evidence-based and clinically appropriate for end-users.
  • Research and Evaluation: Managing trial data in accordance with ethical standards, contributing to feasibility and safety assessments of interventions, and reporting results to stakeholders.
  • Collaboration and Engagement: Working within a multidisciplinary research team, engaging with consumers, and liaising with external partners and healthcare providers.
