About the Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Fashion + Textiles

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marketing and Administration Assistant to contribute to the start-up activities of our Centre.

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Centre's Manager, maintain our social media presence, and circulate a newsletter for the Centre.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing our social media strategy across various platforms
  • Establishing regular newsletters
  • Providing ad hoc marketing support as requested
  • Supporting Steering Committees and Working Groups, including drafting agendas and circulating papers, and managing monthly expense reports
  • Assisting with CoE event activities, including sourcing venues, preparing programs, and attending events

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Basic proficiency in Adobe suite, Mailchimp, and Squarespace
  • High level interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated well-developed time management and organisational skills, including working with limited supervision
  • Knowledge of social media best-practice
  • A general understanding of fashion's sustainability challenges and opportunities

As a part-time employee (0.5 FTE), you will work 17.5 hours per week for a fixed term of 6 months.

This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.
