Pathology Collector Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the collection of pathology samples in a hospital setting.

You will be working as a Hospital Pathology Collector, reporting to the Hospital Collector Lead and working in a team across various wards.

Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals and patients to ensure effective communication.
  • Collect pathology samples from different wards and areas.
  • Maintain accurate records for every patient and sample.
Requirements:
  • Experience in Phlebotomy with a Certificate III in Pathology Collection or nursing background is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, high level of empathy and patient-centred approach.
  • Organised, with attention to detail.
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency or New Zealand citizenship, or valid visa allowing work permission.
  • Vaccine preventable disease evidence such as Hepatitis B is a requirement.
  • Other vaccinations may be required based on location.
