Maxillofacial Surgery Registrar

Job Description

A part-time opportunity has arisen for an ambitious individual to join our Oral Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) team as a registrar. The role will provide invaluable clinical experience and training, laying the foundation for selection into formal accredited OMFS training programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in outpatient clinics, manage ward patients, and assist and operate in operating theatres and perform oral surgery in community centres.
  • Provide support in surgical procedures and perform dentoalveolar surgery under local anaesthesia.
  • Fulfill on-call duties, collaborating with accredited registrars and other members of the surgical team.
  • Work collaboratively with administration and clinical staff, including dental practitioners in the Oral Health Services department.
  • Under consultant supervision, further develop clinical skills and decision-making capabilities.
