Dedicated General Surgeon Opportunity in Regional Victoria

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled General Surgeon to join our Surgical & Perioperative team at Albury Wodonga Health, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
The successful candidate will work cooperatively with consultants and actively participate in team activities, including meetings and decision-making processes. They will be required to provide appropriate care for surgical patients before, during, and after surgery, as well as manage surgical patients under the supervision of a Consultant Surgeon.
As an Unaccredited Registrar, you will have access to theatre and participate in the On-Call Roster. Your first priority will be supporting patients within the ward environment and providing consultation support to other departments, particularly the Emergency Department.
To be eligible for this role, you must be registered or eligible for General registration as a Medical Practitioner by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and have at least two years postgraduate experience in general surgery.
You should also possess appropriate procedural skills, demonstrate a commitment to continuing education and professional development, and have a good understanding of the unique demands of rural/ regional health.
This is a 2025 clinical year position, with two positions available: one for six months and one for 12 months. The salary for this role is estimated to be around $150,000-$200,000 per annum, commensurate with your level of experience.
