Job Title: Strategic Financial Analyst

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Strategic Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting directorates and teams by preparing and analysing financial data to deliver meaningful insights.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. They will be able to drive process improvement, standardisation, and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy across the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyse financial data to deliver meaningful insights to support directorates and teams.
  • Develop and refine financial dashboards and reporting tools to enhance stakeholder value.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes across directorates and cost centres.
  • Perform month-end processing tasks, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes, reporting accuracy, and stakeholder value.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in management accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of month-end processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
