About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to join our Melton project team. As a Senior Traffic Engineer, you'll provide on-site traffic engineering services and technical support to ensure the planning, implementation, and maintenance of traffic management are carried out according to specified guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop traffic management strategies in accordance with best practices and HSE standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers and managers to identify traffic management needs based on project designs and work methodologies.
  • Provide technical guidance to project staff to ensure aims and objectives are effectively achieved.
  • Review traffic and transport matters and propose innovative solutions for improvements.
  • Establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication on traffic matters.
  • Ensure site works conform to approved designs and road safety plans and audits.
  • Supervise and review the work of our traffic contractors and engineers.
  • Report on traffic engineering performance, compliance, and non-conformance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Construction, or a related field.
  • More than 5 years of experience in traffic engineering.
  • Knowledge of traffic management plans, specifications, and standards.
  • More than 2 years of experience in civil/infrastructure/rail construction.
  • Proficiency in document and record management, progress and project performance reporting, and compliance procedures.
  • Ability to travel and work on-site in Melton.
