Culturally Responsive Support Worker

This is a full-time opportunity that offers flexible working hours and the possibility to work from home up to three days a week. You will be part of a supportive and inclusive team environment with opportunities for ongoing professional development.
About the Opportunity:The First Nations Community Coordinator will support children from Indigenous backgrounds who have disabilities or developmental delays. This involves building strong relationships with families, undertaking observations to assess their needs, and providing connections to mainstream services.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain respectful relationships with Indigenous families
- Conduct observations in a child's natural environment to identify their needs and requirements
- Support families to develop goals and aspirations for their child and family
- Provide links to local mainstream services
This is an Identified Position open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants only. We are seeking someone with experience working with Indigenous children and families, an understanding of child development from 0–9 years, and a connection to local Indigenous communities.
