Key Responsibilities- Contract Review and Negotiation: Review, draft, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Contract Administration: Administer contract documents, including variations, site instructions, notice of delays and extensions, and claims, to ensure timely and accurate resolution.
- Claim Preparation and Assessment: Prepare and assess contract claims to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to resolve disputes efficiently.
- Contract Performance Monitoring: Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve contract-related issues and ensure effective communication.
- Subcontractor Management: Negotiate contract terms and conditions with subcontractors, ensuring all contractual obligations are maintained and administered.
- Procurement and Sourcing: Manage procurement processes, including sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, and issuing purchase orders, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of contracts, correspondence, and project documentation to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Financial Analysis and Support: Assist with the preparation of project budgets and financial forecasts, providing timely and accurate cost analysis to understand the basis of any variances to the project forecast and budget.
- Project Support: Provide support to project teams as required to ensure project success and to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
- 5+ years of Contract Administration experience within the civil construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, construction management, or related field.
- Experience in successful contract management and negotiations for projects valued at greater than $20M.
- Strong understanding of contract law and construction contracts.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Collaborative and client-focused work ethic with a positive, passionate, and forward-thinking approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license.
