Rehabilitation Consultant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rehabilitation Consultant to play a pivotal role in the recovery and rehabilitation of Defence Force Personnel who have experienced injury, illness, or disability.

The ideal candidate will possess strong assessment and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work closely with stakeholders to evaluate physical, psychological, and social factors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for completing comprehensive assessments, developing personalised rehabilitation plans, and facilitating the return to work of claimants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete structured assessments and develop tailored rehabilitation plans.
  • Use lateral thinking and forward planning skills to identify potential return to work pathways.
  • Utilise problem-solving skills and clinical experience to perform assessments and facilitate return to work.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, insurance companies, employers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Present case information and provide credible recommendations to drive desired outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification and full registration as a Rehabilitation Counsellor, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Physiotherapist, or Social Worker.
  • Previous experience in complex case management and supporting injured individuals.
  • A driver's license and own vehicle.
