The Opportunity
We are seeking a People & Culture (HR) Business Partner to join our dynamic People & Culture team for a 12-month period of Parental Leave, reporting directly to the GGM People & Culture, based in Richmond VIC.
In this true generalist role, you will partner with our retail leaders to provide strategic HR guidance and lead key people initiatives aligned with our broader People strategy. As a People leader, you will support the growth and development of the People and Culture Advisor that reports to you.
To achieve this, you will:
- Collaborate with retail leadership teams to understand business objectives and align HR strategies to support them effectively.
- Lead and manage people projects, as well as lead the People stream on key strategic business initiatives.
- Provide coaching and advice to stakeholders on various people activities, including performance management, succession planning, professional development, change management, talent management, and team engagement.
- Provide coaching and development to managers and leaders to enhance their effectiveness and leadership capabilities.
- Oversee the implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with best practices.
- Provide general employee relations advice to stakeholders, as well as manage complex employee relations matters and investigations as they arise.
- Utilize HR data and analytics to offer insights and recommendations that inform data-led decision-making and drive business outcomes.
- Support the growth and development of the People & Culture Advisor.
The Skills and Experience You Offer Us
- Previous experience working in a People or HR Business Partner position.
- Strong expertise in providing ER advice and leading ER investigations.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across the People & Culture function to deliver effective HR strategies.
- Proven ability to influence and build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring leaders to develop their leadership capabilities.
- Degree qualification and experience within a fast-paced retail environment (ideal but not essential).
