Groundwater Modelling Team Lead

A seasoned groundwater expert is sought to lead our national Groundwater Modelling team. Delivering and growing our Groundwater Modelling Practice, this virtual team of 11 people spans Brisbane, Melbourne, and Wollongong offices.

About the Role

This role involves close collaboration with state-based groundwater and surface water team leads to deliver solutions for clients. Direct work with the Technical Discipline Manager and Hydrogeology Technical Directors will be required to implement business strategies and align with global priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the national Groundwater Modelling team in delivering complex projects and expanding our practice.
  • Collaborate with state-based teams to develop client-focused solutions.
  • Work with the Technical Discipline Manager and Hydrogeology Technical Directors to implement strategic business initiatives.
  • Mentor junior staff in producing high-quality reports on time and within budget.
  • Contribute to winning work by identifying opportunities and drawing on client relationships.
Requirements
  • 7-20 years of industry experience as a hydrogeologist, including consultancy expertise.
  • An Engineering or Science tertiary qualification.
  • A strong technical background in numerical modelling, hydrogeological conceptualisation, and groundwater impact assessment.
  • A thorough understanding of Australian groundwater legislation and guidelines.
  • Experience managing large technical projects, particularly complex groundwater modelling projects.
