Compass Group is a leading global catering and support services company. Our ESS division partners with major companies in the oil, gas, mining and construction sectors.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Food Service Assistant to deliver exceptional quality and service at our new Spring Gully mining accommodation village near Roma, Queensland.

You will play a pivotal role in assisting our Chefs with food preparation, cleaning and maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment.

Your tasks will include assisting with food preparation, restocking supplies, loading and unloading of equipment, partaking in stocktake and any other ad hoc tasks as required.

These positions are FIFO ex Brisbane or DIDO ex Toowoomba and surrounds. Locals are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Hospitality back of house experience (mandatory)
  • Ability to work long shifts (10 hour days) in a fast-paced environment
  • Drivers licence and own reliable transport (desirable)
  • Be flexible and adaptable
  • Ability to work within a team and autonomously when required
  • Physically fit and able to stand on their feet for up to 10 hours per day
