Food Service Assistant Job Opportunity

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Food Service Assistant to join our team. As a Food Service Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to our residents in a safe and efficient manner.

You will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure that all food preparation and service meets the highest standards of quality and presentation. This includes preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of dishes, as well as ensuring that the kitchen and dining areas remain clean and hygienic at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and menu plans;
  • Present meals in an attractive and appetizing manner;
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and sanitized after use;
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas;
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Previous experience working in a kitchen environment;
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices;
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
