Clinical Specialist Electrophysiology (EP)

This role involves providing clinical, technical and educational support in Electrophysiology to assigned accounts across ANZ. The primary focus is on supporting the introduction of new therapies through our recent launch of the FARAPULSE system. This will involve demonstrating clinical expertise to influence superior outcomes and frequent travel as part of the role.

The Clinical Specialist EP will work closely with leading healthcare professionals to deliver the most advanced medical technologies to patients in need. By collaborating extensively with these professionals, you'll see first-hand the impact you have on individual lives - one patient at a time.

• Utilize your technical knowledge of electrophysiology, biophysics, and electroanatomical mapping principles to provide:
  • Clinical support including basic trouble-shooting and clinical guidance to diagnose and treat cardiac arrhythmias
  • Provide measurement of electrical circuits within the heart and perform stimulation protocols as per physician requests to measure the electrical conductivity of the heart to aid in the diagnosis of cardiac arrhythmias
  • Develop a deep technical understanding of company products and provide technical training of these products to Cardiac Electrophysiologists, Cardiac Physiologists, and Nurses
• Travel as required to meet customer demand for the services described above
• Attend cases face-to-face or remotely with customers, operating Boston Scientific products where appropriate, and providing detailed training/advice to physicians on clinical attributes/techniques associated with Boston Scientific electrophysiology products including:
  • Providing clinical support for FARAPULSE, POLARx, RHYTHMIA, LAB SYSTEM PRO, MAESTRO 4000, METRIQ, plus support for the full range of Boston Scientific EP Catheters
• Develop a deep understanding of workflows and specificities of each hospital and business relationships with hospital personnel to ensure that products are trained and utilized in accordance with the Directions for Use
• Ensure timely collection and reporting of all required medical documentation pertaining to procedural device operation
• Respond to complex customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing creative solutions or working with other related personnel to develop optimal solutions
• Record customer information and activities in CRM systems
• Complete relevant administration including reporting, stock validations, and inventory management
• Attend meetings, conferences, and exhibitions as required to promote Boston Scientific products and services
• Be available to support the broader ANZ Rhythm Management business on an as-needs basis

Previous clinical case experience within electrophysiology/rhythm management is essential. A strong background in biomedical engineering and science-related disciplines is preferred. You should have proven experience in building and maintaining customer relationships and the ability to absorb complex technical information and apply it in the field.
