About The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to provide comprehensive support, guiding and encouraging parents throughout the program.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop strong relationships with local Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community, services, and organisations.
  2. Support participants in achieving their education and employment goals, working collaboratively to overcome barriers.
  3. Identify and address obstacles to employment through referral to relevant community support services and ongoing mentoring.
  4. Facilitate job placements with local employers, ensuring lasting employment success.
  5. Work independently and collaboratively to drive team and personal success, exceeding KPI targets.
  6. Ensure all tasks are executed in full compliance with Department guidelines, legislative requirements, and organisational procedures and policies.
Requirements

You must be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person with a demonstrated understanding of the history and challenges impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

A minimum Certificate III qualification in fields such as Employment Services, Community Services, or other relevant areas is required.

Previous experience in case management, employment services, or social services is highly regarded.

Relevant lived experience brings empathy, understanding, and empowerment to those we serve.

Skilled in empowering individuals to navigate their barriers and foster connection with support services in the community.

Demonstrated success in a high-performing workplace with a strong commitment to quality values-based human services.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Strong computer literacy skills, including proficiency using MS Suite of programs, are required.

A valid Driver's license is necessary for this role.

Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander decent is considered a genuine occupational qualification.
