About Fleet Operations Management

This is a permanent full-time position commencing as soon as possible.

The Directorate responsible for providing procurement and commercial legal support to the Department of Education and schools regarding vehicle fleet management, procures, maintains and manages the Department's vehicle fleet assets in accordance with WA Government Fleet Policy and Guidelines and liaises with Fleetcare concerning vehicle leases, contract planning and insurance management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor fleet operations, ensure compliance, and maintain appropriate policies.
  • Manage information sharing on contemporary vehicle management practices.
  • Provide timely assistance to stakeholders with vehicle information and respond to parliamentary and ministerial enquiries.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated sound knowledge and understanding of procurement and fleet management policies and practices in WA Government.
  • Practical experience in business and systems analysis, project management, and change management methodologies.
  • Achieve outcomes and deliver quality products and services consistent with defined quality expectations.
  • Develop strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills for consultation, collaboration, negotiation, and building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to reports, briefing papers, and responses to senior executive and/or ministerial/parliamentary requests.
