Financial Control & Transformation Role

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia is seeking a skilled Financial Control Specialist to join their Financial Control & Transformation team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for performing daily reconciliations of suspense and control accounts, working with BU Finance to identify root causes and minimize exceptions, and automating reconciliations in Accurate and onboarding reconciliations to Financial Control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily reconciliations of suspense and control accounts.
  • Work with BU Finance to identify root causes and minimize exceptions.
  • Automate reconciliations in Accurate and onboarding reconciliations to Financial Control.
  • Manage finance reconciliation controls, including Financial Controller and business operations reporting.
  • Develop and migrate the Group's reconciliations onto Accurate and provide Level 1 support for existing reconciliations.
  • Oversight and review of reconciliations in line with Group Reconciliation Policy.
  • Ensure an appropriate segregation of duties and strong control environment is maintained.
  • Closely partner with stakeholders to provide excellent service.

Requirements:

  • Financial Services/Professional Services experience.
  • Process improvement mindset/able to use productivity tools and techniques.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Financial control, including reconciliation, analysis, investigation, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders.
