Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team at 11 Recruitment. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing and installing building frameworks, fixtures, and other structures according to construction plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of construction projects.
  • Material Preparation: Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials to meet project requirements.
  • Structural Installation: Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes, according to construction plans.
  • Fixtures and Fittings: Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, molding, and cabinets, to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Safety and Compliance: Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures, and follow safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other construction workers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of projects, and maintain open communication to resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Relevant certificate and minimum 2 years' work experience in carpentry.
  • Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings, demonstrated knowledge of carpentry techniques and construction methods, and ability to accurately measure, cut, and shape materials.
  • Physical Demands: Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks requiring lifting, climbing, and prolonged standing.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $70,000 - $90,000 plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week, and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
