We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled multi-skilled carer to join our permanent pool, working across various residential facilities in the southern suburbs.
About the RoleThe role of a multi-skilled carer is to provide high-quality care and support to residents by aiding with their activities of daily living, personal care, domestic tasks, and social support. The incumbent will be cross-trained in different areas to meet the varying needs of the residents.
This is a part-time position working 60 hours per fortnight with shifts from 7am to 1pm, Monday to Friday, across various residential facilities in the southern suburbs.
Key Responsibilities:- Support residents' physical, social, emotional, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing through individualized care delivery
- Assist with residents' care needs in line with their care plan
- Collaborate with team members to promote a harmonious working environment
- Support and advocate the rights of older people
- Assist with personal hygiene, showering, and toileting
- Assist with activities of daily living, dressing, and grooming
- Assist at mealtimes including feeding
- Administer medication as prescribed
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination and current flu vaccinations per policy
- Ability to obtain a national police clearance within six months of commencement
- Successful completion of pre-employment physical and reference checks
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support - Aged Care
- Willingness to attend a compulsory seven-day induction at our training institute
- NDIS screening check (or willingness to obtain at interview stage)
- Previous experience administering medications is desirable
- Effective communication skills and ability to develop positive relationships with residents
