This key position is responsible for ensuring our geospatial systems, data and services are reliable, accessible and aligned with organisational priorities.

The successful candidate will be a leader in the field of geospatial science, guiding the delivery of geospatial projects and initiatives that support informed decision-making and improved outcomes for the community.

They will work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement spatial information plans, coordinate geospatial systems projects and provide expert advice on geospatial matters.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing the geospatial team to deliver high-quality services
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining the council's spatial information plan
  • Coordinating geospatial systems projects, policies and procedures
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on geospatial matters
